About me

I am an official tour guide of the City of Munich and have been offering guided tours of Munich since 2006. Munich, its history and guiding Munich residents and other interested people through Munich are my vocation.
After almost 30 years in the IT industry, I turned my passion and hobby into a full-time job: In 2015, I founded schwarzgold.info and have been a city guide in Munich ever since. Every year I do about 400 city tours on foot, virtually, by bus and Segway in German and English.
Since April 2020, I have been a pioneer in virtual tours. I use a virtual world of 360-degree panoramas, combined with an online conference system and myself as a live city guide, so that my guests can enjoy the virtual tour as if they were travelling with me directly on site.
