Magical creatures, puzzle pictures and pink vomit.
Today, the depictions of unicorns are everywhere between the childlike and the rainbow horror. And yet the hype has touched a nerve and opened up a huge market. But where does the mythical creature come from? The online seminar leads to surprising sources in Greek antiquity, to breathtaking tapestries in the Metropolitan Museum and to the Musée Cluny in Paris. Oh, and of course to Harry Potter's Gryffindor group room.
