There is always death - Death in art

Thu, 10.11.2022
19:00 - 20:00
In art, death is a theme worthy of representation in various functions.
There is hardly any other word in German that has as many euphemisms as death. People prefer not to deal with the end of life. In art, however, death has always been a theme: death as an acting figure, the depiction of Christ's death on the cross, deaths of famous people. All this and much more is worthy of representation. The lecture shows the different functions of death in art.
