Art & Kluntje

Mon, 11.04.2022
17:30 - 18:30
Emden Art Gallery
Part 3 of the seminar series on the current exhibition "An Image of Time. Expressionism in Film and Art" .
In turning away from a faithful depiction of reality, the representatives of Expressionism found an artistic freedom that enabled them to bring the oppressive and gloomy events of their time, their dreams and their failures to the canvas. and made them accessible to a broad mass. In the process, the artists developed a formal language through which the dystopias of their time could be psychologically worked through. What themes could be taken up in dystopias today? For the practical part you will need: drawing paper, pencil, eraser and coloured pencils.
