The far north of Europe in winter
On this journey, you will travel with me, the astronomer and globetrotter, crashing on an icebreaker through the frozen Baltic Sea and with sled dogs and reindeer through a deeply snow-covered landscape. In bitter cold, we stand at the North Cape and in wintry Hammerfest, experience a partial solar eclipse in Tromsö and spend the night in a glass igloo, marvelling again and again at the fascinating northern lights. Of course, we also visit Santa's post office at the Arctic Circle in Rovaniemi. He even has a huge walk-in letterbox in Greenland from which he collects the Christmas presents for the children. I was there on a winter trip to Greenland.
