After the egg hunt: art!
Look forward to sculptural birds' nests, brush-woven (Easter) baskets and intensely radiant flower arrangements by the incomparable Vincent van Gogh. In 1885 Vincent van Gogh painted a series of bird's nests in Nuenen, the place where his parents lived and to which he returned after unsuccessful attempts at a career. He decided to become an artist late in life and it is amazing what a large body of work Vincent van Gogh then left behind in only about ten years of creative time. We focus today's ONLINE ART BREAK primarily on the master's still lifes.
