France's dream island in the Indian Ocean between Madagascar and Mauritius
This time I take you on an extraordinary tour to the southernmost point of the EU. I hiked through tropical gardens with breathtaking blossoms and in plantations of the world-famous Bourbon vanilla, climbed steep paths through gorges and up to volcanic peaks, bathed in the Indian Ocean and drove over 400 very tight curves up into the extinct volcanic cauldron of Cilaos. Along the way, I enjoyed the culinary highlights of the southern hemisphere, such as papayas, mangoes, passion fruit and the Creole cuisine of this little piece of France in the southern hemisphere.
